Overview

Cinema Theatres Limited (“the company”) respects the privacy of anyone who visits or registers with our website or mobile applications (“the apps”). This privacy policy explains our approach to any personal information that we might collect from you, its purpose and the basis on which we process your personal information, and your rights in this regard.

Any use of the apps, including ticket purchases and customer support is subject to this privacy policy. By agreeing to it you accept these terms, so please read thoroughly.

In order to use the various services offered by the company such as ticket purchasing you will be asked to provide personal information including but not limited to first and last name, email address, telephone, payment method, etc. In addition, the company collects and stores information obtained from users through app usage, such as purchase history, favorite movies, etc. (“the information”).

The information provided by you or collected by the company as part of your app usage, is given of your own free will and/or collected with your consent. It will be stored in the company database. Although you are not legally obligated to provide this information, failing to do so will prevent you from using some of the apps or services provided by the company. The user is solely responsible for providing the company with accurate details.

Some non-identifying information may also be collected as you use the apps. This information will not be saved with the rest of your personal information. This data is accumulated for statistical purposes and may include viewed pages, clicked links, directing websites, duration of website visit, OS, suggestions, services or films that may interest you, your IP address, etc. (“non-identifying information ”).

Use of Information

Use of the information or non-identifying information is subject solely to this privacy policy or the provisions of any mandatory law in order to –

•     Enable use of different app services;
•     Improve app services and content;
•     Change or eliminate existing services and content;
•     Purchase of products or services via apps, including advertising of content and information;
•     Personalize advertisements during your visit, according to your interests;
•     Allow contact via apps, including newsletter registration (under provisions of the law), etc.;
•     Allow contact and customer service regarding use of services and apps;
•     App operation;
•     Statistical analysis and surveys of browsing habits and characteristics (based on non-identifying information;
•     Adhering to any laws, regulations or legislations and assist authorities and third parties when deemed fit.
• Upon request for personal face photo while submitting to the company’s membership club, the user agrees that the photo will be stored in the company’s database according to current privacy policy.

From time to time we will contact you to invite you to provide feedback about our products and services in the form of online or in-cinema surveys. We use this information to help us monitor and improve the quality of service provided by our staff and in our cinemas and of our products. You may opt-out from such surveys at any time by contacting [email protected] or through a dedicated link available in the footer of the email.

Third Party Information Disclosure

The company shall not transfer information to any third party, barring the following instances:

•     Providers, business partners or contractors, information storage companies, so long as it is deemed necessary for the proper delivery of contents and services provided through the apps, while maintaining your privacy;
•     Should you breach this privacy policy or any other contract with the company, or use the apps, whether directly or by proxy, to perform illegal or seemingly illegal activities;
•     In any disagreement, claims, lawsuit, demands or legal proceedings against the company, should they arise;
•     As required by law, under legal order or the order of an authorized entity requiring the release of your details to a third party;
•     Should the company reorganize its apps under another corporation, or in the case of the merging of app activity with the activities of a third party, the company may provide the new corporation with copies of your information or any statistic data, contingent on the corporation agreeing to this privacy policy;
•     When participating in games and/or activities advertised by the company and/or When purchasing products or services sold through the apps as part of a collaboration between the company and third parties (including state authorities) as presented in the apps prior to purchase, the company may share any necessary information with said partners required to complete the purchase, relevant content action and maintaining contact.
•     The user hereby agrees to share information with third parties outside Israel, even if these states cannot guarantee the same level of information protection as guaranteed under Israeli law.

Cookies

Some or all of our apps use cookies in order to function and gather statistical data concerning app usage, for purposes of information validation, to adapt to your preferences and for information security measures.

Cookies are text files sent from your browser to the company server. Some cookies expire once your browser is closed, whereas others are saved on your hard drive. Cookies contain useful information such as pages visited, time spent on each app, directing page, sections and information requested by the user, etc.

Information security

The company utilizes information security protocols and systems for its apps. While these measures reduce risk of unauthorized breach of information, they cannot guarantee complete security. The company therefore does not guarantee that its services and apps shall be completely protected from unauthorized access to the information stored within.

By using the apps you relinquish any right for complaint and/or claim and/or demand of the company and/or its representatives regarding a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data as long as the aforementioned was beyond company control and the company took the appropriate measures to prevent the events.

Accessing your data

According to the Protection of Privacy Law 5741-1981 (Protection of Privacy Law) you are entitled to access your stored information. Should you find any error, inaccuracies, discrepancies etc., you may contact the company by email, subject to the law, and request it be rectified or deleted: [email protected].

Additionally, should the information stored by the company be used to personally contact you, you are legally permitted under the Protection of Privacy Law to submit a written demand for it to be removed from our database.

You are entitled to receive a legible digital copy of your stored data.

Duration of data storage

The company will store your data as it deems fit in order to provide you with services and fulfill its legal obligations as required by the applicable law. The duration of time information is stored will be determined according to the nature of the data and its purpose, taking into consideration per-case requirements and the need to destroy obsolete and/or information not used by a considerable date. You may, at any time, send a written request to remove your data from the company database, to: [email protected]. The company will fulfill your request under its legal obligations.

Should you have any reason to believe your privacy as defined by the Protection of Privacy Law has been compromised, you may at any point contact the Privacy Protection Authority, the Israeli entity entrusted with implementing the law and its regulations. Changes to our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may change from time to time as deemed fit by the company. The privacy policy is dynamic and may change as contents or services are added to the apps and may influence the policy. The company thus recommend that you review this policy from time to time. The company will inform its users on any significant changes to the privacy policy concerning your personal information, through the app website.
